Arthritis Walk- Some Words and Pictures
My daughter loved having her last race report up on my blog, so she will be writing up a full report for yesterday’s walk . I just wanted to say a few words and share some pictures. Originally just my daughter and I were going to participate, but the whole family ended up doing the walk, I really enjoyed that. This was the first walk or run where we actively tried to raise money and were part of a team for a specific cause, I really enjoyed the experience. It really adds value to participating in the event. Having my kids involved was great because it gave them a chance to do something for others and they also learned a lot about arthritis. I would definitely like to do more events like this in the future. Thanks to everyone who gave to help us reach our fund raising goal!!

My Daughter and her friend Ashley of team Ashley. All of the "heroes" or people with arthritis wore blue caps. I was surprised and saddened by how many of them were children.

Team Ashley Hannah heading out to start the walk

The girls alternated between walking and running to make the laps go a little faster

I must admit that I wish I could have run a few laps myself, walking 3 miles takes so much longer than running

Here are the girls after going around the track 10 times, they are cooling off with their water bottles

All done and taking a well deserved rest.

Looks like the day was a fabulous success and I hope you raised a stack load of cash
It’s great that you did a run/walk for a good cause. The event looked like a lot of fun. It is very wise that you resisted the urge to run.
Great recap for a great cause. I have arthritis so this is a cause that is important to me.
That is shocking to think that children can be touched by this disease.
The pictures were wonderful.
Does your chapter have a jingle bell run for Arthritis? That is a really fun event.
Thanks for rasining money and awareness for the Arthritis foundation.

How nice of you and your family to support good causes! I can’t wait to hear your daughter’s race report!
Thanks so much for doing the arthritis walk. That is awesome! It means a lot. I have done several of these types of walks include the arthritis walks and I just love them. They are a great way to meet people and the impact you have on others is just amazing. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
So cute! I LOVE the hot pink shirts!! Can’t wait to read her race report.
How cute! What a fun event that the whole family can participate in. I love those walks/runs where it’s for a great cause, and you get to do them with people you love. AWESOME!
