@Joe You know the best thing for his allergies and asthma has been running. Before he started running, he was using his inhaler constantly, and now he doesn’t use it at all. He hasn’t been running as consistently lately and has been having a little more trouble, but he is trying to build his base back up.

Wow, I think he really is a trooper, maybe you should go a little easier on him. Hopefully he doesn’t hurt himself. However, Austin has such great places to go (and doctors too, lol), that there should be lots of options for you two to try.

@ Frenchiegirl LOL. It may seem that way but after the run he feels much better. Austin is usually pretty dry. My hubby has pretty bad allergies as well and both things irritate the mucous membranes and can cause nosebleeds.

What’s the humidity like in Austin? When I lived in the north, I’d get nose bleeds like crazy in the winter b/c it’d be dry outside, then I’d get inside with the moist air and it would cause nose bleeds.

Oh, and it sounds like running with you is hazardous to your husband’s health!

Yeah, I remember when I used to throw up when I was running!!, it is quite interesting to see how far each one of us runners has gone through without even realized it!!

LOL – that was a great run!!! I was cracking up about that all week. I do think the nose bleed had a little to do to my allergies, but I still think it is fair for you to take the credit. I am making progress though, first time I wasn’t close – second I stayed with you for the first half – next week keeping up with you will be a PR – if I can keep up with you I know I can increase my speed and with that become a better runner

@COMC He has been getting nose bleed since we moved to Austin. They usually when he is working out, we think they are allergy related. Oh and the nose bleed wasn’t severe, did not last more than a couple of minutes. By the time we started running together again it had stopped.

Whoa that sounds like a very heavy run. Does he have bloody noses frequently?
