Dizzy and Really Tired
Monday I ran 3 miles and did a spin class, it was tough but I felt great. At least I felt great for a little while, as the day progressed I felt really tired and lightheaded. Same thing yesterday after doing some strength training and today when I ran 4.5 miles. I did my workouts and felt great during them but again severe fatigue and dizziness set in one hour after and stayed for the rest of the day.
I realized to late that even though I was not sore from the race and I was capable of completing these workouts, my body needed more recovery time. I should have followed my plan all the way through and planned this week’s workouts accordingly. That plan had me off on Sunday and Monday, then running 2-4 easy on Tuesday, off on Wednesday, 3 easy on Thursday and off on Friday. So I think I will take tomorrow off and maybe skip out on running group on Friday (because they are doing a tempo run) and just do 3 miles alone and see how I feel. By now I should realize it is best to stick to the plan, whenever I don’t I have problems.
