Ready to Stop Training and Just Start Running again

Finally added some new music to my ipod and I had actually had  great time running on the treadmill because of it.   My 4 miles flew by,  I kept my my speed at 6.5 and 7.5 miles per hour.   It really felt great.

Went to spin class directly after my run.  I was not sure if I would have enough energy  to do both, but I felt great.  The run was a great warm up for spin.  This will be my last spin until after my race, I am really going to take it easy next week.  After the race I plan on doing it 3 times a week.

I am looking forward to  the Zooma half marathon being over and done with, so that I can run on my own schedule again. Don’t get me wrong I am excited about the race, but I am getting a  little tired  of the training. I just want to run for the  the pure pleasure of running for a little while.

  1. I completely understand getting tired of training. I have felt it a bit, too! Yeah – for the new songs – it definitely keeps you going on the TM. I also like doing different TM workouts, which helps the time fly by (esp when I had to do 6 miles!) – yes, you’re looking at the time, but you’re constantly changing speed (or incline) and breaking it up into smaller chunks.

  2. It is always a relief for me when I have new music on the treadmill. I get bored so easily that I can’t manage without it. =)
