• About Me

  • Running has brought great joy to my life. I use this blog to log my running experiences and maybe even inspire a few people to get out there and run. If a turtle like me who couldn't run for more than two minutes without feeling like I was at death's door can run, anybody can.

  • My Walk with Ashley

My daughter finally got around to writing up her report  on the Arthritis Walk.  Here it is:

I did a walk with my friend Ashley a couple of weeks ago.  The walk was the Arthritis Walk, a walk for people who like Ashley, have arthritis.  Some people donated money for the walk  so doctors can find a cure for the disease.

When we got there, I started to look around for Ashley.  When I finally found her I found out she had been looking all over for me too.  While we were there Ashley’s mom gave me a T-shirt that said Team Ashley Hannah on the back.   She gave my mom one too. she also gave my dad one, but it was dark blue.

While we were waiting for the walk to start, Ashley, me and Ashley’s younger sister played tag in the field.  Geez, Ashley’s sister is FAST!  Whenever she was it, she always got me.  It was kinda difficult to tag her too.

FINALLY, it was time for the walk to start.  The walk was going twelve laps long.  We were walking on a track.  Me and Ashley had a kind of silly goal for the walk.  If we finished we would have control over the world and it would be a girl’s world.

After doing three laps a few people asked if Ashley’s last name was Hannah because of the shirts.  I said no, “She is Ashley and I am Hannah” they just said “Oh”.

After going around the track 10 times we were almost through.  ”Just two more laps!”  Ashley said.  We were going pretty fast because we were doing walk, jog, run repeating.  ”One more!” I said.  We did our last lap as fast as we could until we were done.  We fund a bench and sat down to rest.  I said, “We finished!  Now the whole world is a girl’s world!  YAAY!”

    THE END

I’d like to explain here that Ashley’s middle name is Hannah, thus team Ashley Hannah.  Both girls thought it was Team Ashley Hannah for the reason my daughter mentioned above, we did not bother to tell them anything different, since it made them so happy. Hope you enjoyed her report. Obviously she believes girls rule and boys drool. :)
