New Kicks

My sneakers died.  I was in denial for a week, but I could deny it no longer.  About mile 10 of my half marathon the ball of my foot started hurting which was very unusual because I never have foot pain while running.  I thought maybe it was because I was running on the road and not the crushed granite trail I was used to.  But as the next week went on and everytime  I put my sneakers on and tried to run, there was instant pain,  I knew it was time to replace.   I really love my sneakers, I wear the Brooks Axiom 3.  These were the first pair of sneakers that I felt were perfect for me and the way I run ( I overpronate a little).  I expected them to last a little longer but I did get a good amount of  mileage out of them so I am not complaining.  I went to the sporting goods store and was looking around at other shoes, but as soon as I tried on a new pair of  Axiom 3s  and ran around  a little in the store, I knew I was going to buy the same sneaks (this is a first for me).  I hope the next gen is just as comfortable on my foot.  I can’t wait to run in them today.
