Ran with a Running Group Today – I liked it!
Today I finally joined the running group at my gym for a run. I have been considering joining for a while, but their runs did not coincide with my training schedule so I put it off. Seeing all the running groups supporting each other at Zooma made me want to be a part of one. So today I took the plunge.
All the ladies were very nice and I found one that ran at just about the same pace as I do (she’s actually a bit faster), so we stuck together most of the time. I was not thrilled that we were doing hills repeats today, I had enough hills on Saturday
. But I made it through and actually enjoyed the run. Having someone to run with today made a big difference, I don’t think I would have pushed so hard if I was alone.
I will probably still be doing most of my training solo, but it will be nice to have some people to run with once or twice a week and occasionally go to races with. If you have been on the fence about running with a group, I recommend you give it a try, you might like it

Group runs are a blast. Glad to hear that you’re trying them out. I always push myself a little harder when running with other people. It’s also a great way yo meet some cool people.
