Running is Better than Bagels

Woke up this morning and was kind of looking for an excuse not to go for a run.  I wanted to go out for bagels, but that wouldn’t be a very good start to my diet. So I  ate my oatmeal with raisins drank some water  instead and headed out to the trail for my run.  I decided to try eight miles today, I have had some aches and pains everytime I run since the half marathon last Sunday so the eight miles seem a little daunting.  I got to the trail, it was 55 degrees out and clear, the weather was great and  I was ready to start running.   The eight miles just flew by, no major pain.  My heart rate averaged around 168, finished my run in 1hr and 14 minutes, burned 770 calories, and had a great time.  I am so glad I ran today it felt great, I  am glad I did not skip running for bagels.  Running is definitely better than bagels.
