Should I join a running group?

As I posted before I really enjoy running with my husband, and we used to run together  all the time. But ever since his work schedule changed, about a month ago, we have only been able to run together 3 times. I am finding that I am missing the company and the motivation a buddy offers  on my runs and occasionally feeling a little lonely. So I have been looking at local running groups. There are a few groups that have runs, but most of them are in the evening or on the weekend, which doesn’t work with my normal workout schedule and interfere with family time. The runs are also about a half hour away from home, and I would like something a little closer. I was thinking that despite these reasons not to join these groups, it might still be worth it just to meet  other people who love running.  My other thought was that maybe I could try to start a running group myself. Something on a weekday morning once a week, close to home.  This kind of scares me a little, because I am an introvert by nature and not usually a group starter (not much of a group joiner either for that matter).  So I guess we will see what happens.
