• About Me

  • Running has brought great joy to my life. I use this blog to log my running experiences and maybe even inspire a few people to get out there and run. If a turtle like me who couldn't run for more than two minutes without feeling like I was at death's door can run, anybody can.

  • The Step Mill

So today I decided to mix it up a little and did the step mill at the gym. The step mill and I have a love/hate relationship.
I love the fact that it gets my heart rate going, so I burn a lot of calories.  It offers variety, it is a good break from my normal routine.  Every time I get on I can challenge myself in new way, I enjoy doing it sideways, backwards, and forwards.  Sometimes I put it up to level 15 and see how long I can stand it (usually only about 2 minutes).  These are all good things.  And now for the bad.  IT IS HARD.  At least it is if you are doing it correctly.  I always set it at a challenging pace and never hold on to the rails, not even when going up backwards.  So if you are in the mood for something different and challenging try the step mill.
