  • Tough Spinning

    Since today was a no running day, I  decided I would add in a spinning class to get the blood flowing in my legs and prevent them from stiffening up.  For the past two weeks the normal spin instructor has been ill, so every time I have gone there has been a sub.  Today the normal insturctor,  Bil, l was back.  And although I challenged myself, sweated a lot, and burned a good amount of calories during the other classes today’s class really kicked my butt.

    Before class he introduced himself, asked if I had done spin before and if my bike was adjusted properly.    I told I tried it out last week and I thought my bike was where it was supposed to be.  He proceeded to make adjustments on my bike, and I must say for the first time it all felt right.

    Class started and he started yelling.  We needed to work harder, go faster, set the resistance higher, no breaks, no slowing down, etc, etc, etc.   He did this the whole hour, at first I found it a little annoying but it really did make me push harder  than I did during  the previous classes and I know I got a better workout in today.

    When I thought the torture was over, he made us do sit ups and push ups.  The subs also made us do these but we did twice as many today,  I have been working on these at home so I  am hoping I won’t be sore tomorrow.

    I have an interval workout planned for tomorrow, I hope the weather cooperates so I can do them outside ot the track.

      Not a lot of fun, but worth it! I feel so strong after I have successfully completed a tough workout :)
