Nice Run on Town Lake Trail
My husband was home today so we decided do try something a little different for our run. We drove downtown had a breakfast burrito from Taco Deli and then went for a run on the Town Lake Trail. It is a ten mile loop that goes around the lake. You can make the loop shorter by crossing over different bridges to shorten the run. There were water stations at various points along the trail throughout the trail to keep you nice and hydrated.
Most of the trail is crushed granite, which I like, as I have stated before. There are a lot of tree and vegetation along the way. And it was very enjoyable running alongside the water seeing the ducks, swans and TURTLES.
We saw a ton of turtle and of course I had to stop and take pictures. There were a good amount of people on the trail, but not so many as to make it feel crowded. Along the trail there are places to rent row boats, a playground, a little train kid’s can ride, Barton Springs Pool (where you can go swimming), and other great things. It is another great place to go biking, walking and running with family, friends, or solo. We ran 7 miles and really enjoyed our run, it was a great day to be out at Town Lake. I would like to be able to run here more often but a 30-40 minute drive each way is a little to far to go for a run, but it is fun to do once in a while.

watzzupsport,
Thanks for stopping by. The trail is located in Austin, Texas, and the water is Town Lake. It is part of the Colorado River that was dammed up in the 1960s. You can read more here.
