Two Weeks Until the Zooma Half Marathon
My performance this week was all over the place. Great interval workout, horrible tempo run, mediocre rest/recovery runs and a nice but very slow long run. With only two weeks of training left, I would really like to see some consistency so that I will have more confidence going into the race. During the next two weeks my mileage will be decreased, so hopefully I will see an increase in my overall speed.
Here is my training schedule for next week:
Monday: Spin Class
Tuesday: 6 mile pace workout
- Warm up; 3 x 1 mile (recover for 400 meters); cool down. goal pace: 7:47 min/mile
Wednesday: 4 miles and spin
Thursday: 8 miles
- warm up; 6 mile tempo; cool down. goal tempo pace: 8:12 min/mile
Friday: rest
Saturday: 10 miles
Sunday: 3 miles

This was the fourth time we went and each time has gotten a little easier. I was really scared the first time we went, letting go of the wall and leaning back to get down really frightened me. But in the attempt to try something new and show the kids it wasn’t hard I did it. And now I really enjoy it and so do they
