Wearing Heels and Dresses Again
Some of you may not know it, but not to long ago I was pretty fat. I have lost fifty pounds since I started my “journey to fitness”. It didn’t happen quickly, I worked out, ate less and the pounds came off slowly. So far this has been the most successful weight loss I have had since I gained weight after having children. Before the kid’s I was skinny, much skinnier than I am now. But once I gained the weight I found it hard to take it back off. I think this time around I have been succesful because I made a lifestyle change instead of going on a diet. I know that sounds cliche but it is true. Whenever I was on a diet before I thought about cheating, and when I cheated I just gave up. Until the next time I got sick of being fat and went on a diet again.
When I was bigger I did not dress up. No dresses or heels for me. Everytime I tried a dress or a pair of heels on I thought I looked like Miss Piggy. So it felt good to dress up a bit yesterday and feel like a woman again.
Here is a before and after. Sadly the before picture is not me at my biggest, I think by the time I took that picture I had already lost about 20 pounds. No pictures of me at my biggest, never let my husband take any.

I’m still not where I want to be as far as my weight. Losing 10 more pounds would be great. I’ve been losing and gaining the same 5 pounds for months. But for today I am going to rejoice in how far I have come and being able to wear pretty dresses and heels again
